The money you save by buying the complete Platypus leaves \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eyou rich enough, relative to building a bike from the frame up, to swap out a part here and there to customize it to your quirky taste.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eMonths from now, you might want to get our not-yet-available Silver front derailer. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eOr you might want different gearing, a different tire, or a different handlebar…for \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eexample. If you’re a bicycle parts \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eexpert and mechanic and trust yourself to put together a harmonious package, \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ego for it—but consider having one of us look it over to see whether it will indeed \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ebe harmonious, and perhaps weigh in on whether or not you’re getting a good \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003evalue on the way. If you want a part we don’t stock, get it somewhere else. This is \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ethe most expensive way to customize a Platypus.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e(2) Part by part, you pick everything, we assemble it. It’s still a good deal, and \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ecomes with peace of mind and zero personal stress. If you want to do this, add this build option to your cart.
